Project Overview
The System Configuration page, part of the Admin Console for Sky Enterprise, enables administrators to manage system parameters efficiently.
It provides tools for validation, real-time feedback, and streamlined navigation.
The Challenge
Administrators needed a reliable way to configure complex system parameters while minimizing errors and ensuring compliance with validation rules.
The Process
- Designed the page layout with intuitive controls for parameter management, such as dropdowns, text inputs, and tooltips.
- Implemented validation workflows to prevent errors, including real-time feedback and reset-to-default options.
- Collaborated with developers to integrate functionality for fuzzy search and filtering.
Final Product
A streamlined configuration page with real-time validation, success/failure feedback, and enhanced search/filter options, allowing admins to adjust settings quickly and confidently.
- Fixed-scroll header with search and Reset to Default options
- Scroll-Spy: The menu dynamically highlights the section title corresponding to the user’s current scroll position on the page.
- Anchor Navigation: The menu items are clickable links (anchors) that take the user directly to the respective section when clicked.
- Reset to Default and Revert to Previous options for each parameter individually.
Outcome
- Simplified configuration workflows, reducing admin errors.
- Improved system reliability with immediate feedback and easy recovery options.
- Increased administrator productivity through advanced search and filtering tools.
